Carol Wickwire

Columnist for Practical Homeschooling Magazine.

Carol Wickwire has been married for 31 years to her very supportive husband Michael. They home schooled their four children over the course of thirteen years using an eclectic approach.

The youngest of their four graduated six years ago, and they now enjoy following a "learning lifestyle" with the two youngest of their four grandchildren. Their oldest daughter has been a lawyer since the age of 25; their second daughter owns an online jewelry business; their third daughter is a Certified Nurses Assistant on a Cardiovascular PCU; and their son, after achieving the Junior Pro Title in surfing at age nineteen, made the decision to join the Air Force where he is currently training to become a Pararescueman or PJ.

Carol is a Registered Nurse on a Medical PCU at a local hospital, and loves books, sewing, thrift-shopping, and is now dabbling in gardening and golf. She also runs the Florida-homeschool online support group at Yahoo! Groups at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Florida-homeschool/. Her biggest regret is not discovering home schooling sooner!
